Introduction

StreetLens ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the StreetLens mobile application ("iOS App") and the StreetLens ChatGPT App ("ChatGPT App").

iOS App

Location Information

On-Device Only: Your location is used solely on your device to provide turn-by-turn navigation and detect when you arrive at points of interest.
Never Transmitted: Your location data is never sent to our servers or any third parties.
No Storage: We do not store your location history.

Audio Data

Audio Playback: We track audio playback progress locally on your device to resume tours where you left off.
No Recording: We do not record or access any audio from your device's microphone.

Information We Do Not Collect (iOS)

The iOS App does not collect, store, or transmit:

Your location data
Personal information
Usage analytics
Device identifiers

Local Storage (iOS)

The iOS App stores the following data locally on your device only:

Tour bookmarks and preferences
Audio playback progress
Downloaded tour content stored on device

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by deleting the App.

Third-Party Services (iOS)

The iOS App uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases and Apple Maps for navigation. These transactions and services are handled entirely by Apple according to their privacy policy.

ChatGPT App

Tool Inputs and Outputs

The ChatGPT App provides the following tools. Each tool receives specific inputs from ChatGPT and returns data from our servers:

Cities: No input required. Returns the list of available cities.
Search: Receives a city name, search keywords, optional category filters, entity names, and connection types. Returns matching audio tours and places.
Browse Places: Receives a city name and optional category/keyword filters. Returns a paginated list of places.
Tour Detail: Receives a tour ID. Returns tour information including title, description, points of interest, and available languages.
Place Detail: Receives a place ID. Returns place information including name, description, location coordinates, connections to people and events, and available languages.

All inputs are provided by ChatGPT based on your conversation. No personal data is required or accepted by any tool.

Data We Do Not Collect (ChatGPT)

The ChatGPT App does not collect, store, or have access to:

Your personal information or identity
Your ChatGPT conversation history
Your precise location or GPS coordinates
Any authentication credentials or account data
Device identifiers

How Data Is Used

Purpose: Search queries are used solely to find and return relevant tours and places from our database.
Processing: Queries are sent to our servers (hosted on Supabase) to perform the search, then results are returned to ChatGPT for display.

Anonymous Query Logging

We log anonymous search queries (city name, search terms, and search strategy used) to improve search quality and relevance. These logs contain no personal identifiers — no account, IP address, or device information is recorded. No user profiles are created from this data.

Data Recipients

Supabase: Our backend infrastructure provider, which processes search queries and returns tour/place data. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf.
OpenStreetMap: Map tiles are loaded directly in the widget from OpenStreetMap servers to display place locations. No personal data is sent to OpenStreetMap.
OpenAI: As the platform provider, OpenAI processes your messages according to their own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to data handled by OpenAI.

Data Retention

Anonymous search query logs (city, search terms, search strategy) are retained to improve search quality. These logs contain no personal data. No user data, conversation content, or personal identifiers are retained.

User Controls

You can stop using the ChatGPT App at any time by removing it from ChatGPT.
No account or sign-up is required to use the ChatGPT App.
No personal data is stored, so there is nothing to delete.

Your Rights

You can control location access through your device's Settings app
You can delete all local data by removing the App
You can request deletion of any data by contacting us at contact@streetlensapp.com

We never sell your personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
